What is Pilates?

PILATES Lifestyle approach!

Trends come and go. Everything gets repackaged over and over again. Pilates is here to stay! And here at the Pilates Center, we remain true to the original.

Pilates is elegance and grace. Pilates delivers deep and lasting results.
You’ll benefit from long, lean, supple muscles, a strong and stable core, stress relief, better posture, improved balance and coordination, enhanced athletic performance, heightened body awareness, and effective rehabilitation training.

We need to be able to move freely through space in life. Pilates works on multiple planes (frontal, sagittal, and transverse), thereby training coordination and improving body stability.

Pilates brings body and soul into harmony and balance. You will feel the changes in your body very quickly. Pilates activates and trains the deep core muscles extremely efficiently. Pilates trains your sense of balance, improves intermuscular coordination, and rewards you with a better sense of body awareness.

Today, we distinguish between classical/traditional Pilates and contemporary Pilates.
Classical Pilates strictly adheres to the exercise sequences and repetitions as Joe originally established them.
In contemporary Pilates, we incorporate insights from biomechanics, fascia research, and movement analysis to modify the exercises.
Both methods are good! There is no compatition between.
